The Social Gentleman:
The only difference between the “classic” gentleman and the “social” gentleman is that the classic definition serves as the skeleton for my description. To be considered a “classic” gentleman you need be respectful, chivalrous, humble, selfless, and hospitable. Social gentlemen are men who are capable of controlling a room’s presence without saying a word. They’re the guys who effortlessly make “things” happen, and are always the life of the party. A social gentleman not only accepts and appreciates each person they encounter but makes it their priority to understand each individual. Being a gentleman doesn’t simply consist of having good manners anymore, it’s all about being well-cultured and having a proficient understanding of the world around you and the people in it. Through this understanding, then and only then can a man be considered a social gentleman.
